About Turahn Jenkins

Attorney Jenkins is from Monroeville, PA. He began his education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) where he majored in Criminology. After graduating from IUP, began is professional career as a Social Worker. After two years of working in the field, Attorney Jenkins attended the prestigious Duquesne University School of Law.

Following law school, Attorney Jenkins worked as a Law Clerk in the Allegheny County Office of the Public Defender and then went on to work as an Assistant District Attorney (ADA) in the Allegheny County Office of the District Attorney. While working in this capacity, he handled numerous cases including, but not limited to DUI, Aggravated Assault, Robbery, Simple Assault, Homicide, Sex Assault, Drug Possession/Delivery, Firearm, and various other crimes.

After nearly 3 years prosecuting cases as an ADA, Attorney Jenkins went to private practice where he defended the same cases he formally prosecuted as an ADA. Attorney Jenkins was often sought out as a seasoned defense attorney by citizens in Allegheny, Washington, Butler, Beaver and Westmoreland County because of his unique experience of trying actual cases before a jury and judge as both a Prosecutor and a Defense Attorney.

Attorney Jenkins was later hired to be the Deputy Director of the Pre-Trial Division of Public Defender of the Allegheny County Public Defenders Office where he supervised and mentored newer attorneys as they defended citizens in the Court of Common Pleas, Magistrate Court and Juvenile Court. Attorney Jenkins was later promoted to be the Chief Deputy Director of the entire office, and continued to make great strives as a leader within the criminal justice system. Attorney Jenkins also served as an Adjunct Law Professor at Duquesne University teaching juvenile justice.

Recently, Attorney Jenkins returned to private practice to provide zealous criminal defense to the citizens of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County and Western Pennsylvania as an experienced Criminal Defense attorney.
